When tragedy strikes, the people are called to action. The Cardinal Initiative is that action. In 2021, a coalition of leaders, employees and volunteers from many professions and organizations was created to bring long-term, effective mental health care to Northwest Kansas after a string of untimely deaths in those communities brought on by suicide.
