Change your Mindset
Needing a mental boost? Try these tips to help get your mind back on track.
Change your Focus
Meditation
Meditation helps move focus from the outside world and puts it back on your inside world. Through meditation you can train your mind to accept negative thoughts or feelings and allow yourself to let them go. You can find guided meditations in a number of free phone apps and on websites like YouTube.
Self Care
When you are feeling mentally or physically unbalanced, it is important to take time for yourself. That can look like taking a day off of work, a warm bath, reading your favorite book, or doing something that brings you joy.
Empower Yourself
When you find yourself focusing on negative self-talk try changing the context to empowering words instead. Are you "worried" or "concerned?" "Devestated" or "disappointed?" "Humiliated" or "uncomfortable?" Changing the tone of the words we speak aloud and internally can have an immense impact on our mood.
